We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Working Lead Hand to join our team and play a pivotal role in overseeing daily operations on the worksite. As a crew lead, you will coordinate tasks, supervise crew members, and ensure that projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards while working on site yourself. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead by example, and contribute to the successful completion of our projects.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily work activities, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and on schedule
- Lead and mentor a small crew while remaining hands on in day to day work activities
- Maintain safety protocols by enforcing safety procedures
- Communicate effectively with entire crew
- Assist in troubleshooting on-site challenges and implementing solutions promptly
Skills/Qualifications
- Proven leadership abilities with experience supervising in construction (minimum 1 year relevant experience)
- Excellent communication skills (English)
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a work environment
- Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, or project plans is a must
- Experience in running small excavator/skid steer safely and efficiently
- Physical and mental stamina
- A positive attitude with problem-solving capabilities
- Clean Criminal Record
- Class 5 Drivers License(heavy trailer endorsement is an asset)
- Current First Aid
