Job description:
Priority will be given to applicants who apply in person at: Winterburn Bottle Depot (21404 100 Ave, Edmonton)
We are currently looking for a reliable and hardworking individual to join our team as a Driver
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years experience driving a 16ft cube van/box truck or larger
- Must be comfortable working in all weather conditions — rain, snow, or shine, we operate year-round
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift
- Strong knowledge of Edmonton and surrounding areas
- Experience loading and unloading trucks
- Mechanical knowledge and equipment experience considered an asset
- Able to work alone
Job Duties:
- Pick up bags/boxes of beverage containers from homes and businesses throughout Edmonton and surrounding areas using the Skip the Depot app and a 16ft cube van
- Load and unload beverage containers throughout the day
- Complete bottle sorting duties at the depot when required or for additional hours
This is a very physical position involving:
- Heavy lifting
- Frequent walking, bending, and twisting
- Driving and sitting for extended periods
Schedule:
- Full-time position
- Typical hours are 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday to Sunday
- Additional hours may be available through bottle sorting at the depot
Starting Wage:
- Starting at $19.00/hour for applicants with basic experience
- Opportunity for increased wage based on license class and experience
