Overview:
Eagle Creek Lodge (ECL) is a corporate sport-fishing lodge on Stuart Island, BC. The objective of the lodge is to provide a quality sport fishing experience, with top quality food and beverage and hospitality, in a beautifully maintained environment.
Position Description Summary:
To provide quality housekeeping services to guest rooms and the main Lodge, and to assist with food and beverage service, at PACCAR’s expected standards, for up to 3 meals a day. Light outside work, watering plants and keeping outside guest areas clean.
The Lodge Attendant reports to the Lodge Managers and works closely with the Chef and other Lodge Attendant. The Lodge Attendant is responsible for meal service , clean up, and assisting the guests during morning and afternoon departure for their day of fishing. While the guests are off property, the duties include maintaining a tidy guest common area, daily room refresh for in-house guests, and cleaning and preparing rooms on check-out day for incoming guests. The Lodge Attendant will also welcome guests back to the Lodge after a day of fishing, and assist them with their gear and coolers, etc, as required. While guests are in the Lodge, the Lodge Attendant will assist with drink service, appetizer service, and lunch and dinner service. Clean up after meal service is also included in the daily list of duties.
This is a full time, seasonal position, a typical guest season running from May to September. It is anticipated that approximately 10 hours per day may be necessary to manage the comforts of our guests. Room and board are provided.
Duties include the following:
- Assist with the Lodge opening and cleaning and prepare the kitchen for the season.
- Assist the Lodge kitchen operations including meal preparation for guests and or staff, meal service and housekeeping.
- Prepare to-go breakfast sandwiches for the guests and staff.
- Prepare welcome snacks for newly arriving guests and assist with service.
- Complete meal preparation lists.
- Ensure healthy meals are prepared and available to Lodge staff.
- Lodge housekeeping duties will include: dusting and sanitizing all surfaces and high touch areas; vacuuming the carpet, moping the guests entry way floor, sanitizing the guest bathroom, and assisting with additional housekeeping duties when requested.
- Kitchen clean-up and sanitizing: Maintain cooking and service items in an orderly and sanitary condition according to FOODSAFE guidelines and regulations; regularly clean and sanitize kitchen areas.
