Summary: Greenwin is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Supervisor to lead the end-to-end delivery of payroll for a diverse workforce. This is an excellent opportunity for a payroll professional who enjoys ownership of their function, driving process improvements, and partnering with HR and Finance to support business operations.
In this role, you will oversee full-cycle payroll processing, ensure legislative compliance, enhance payroll systems and reporting, and act as the organization’s payroll subject matter expert. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Salary range: $85,000 - $95,000 per year
What You'll Get To Do:
Payroll Leadership & Operations
- Lead the accurate and timely processing of bi-weekly and semi-monthly payrolls for unionized and non-unionized employees
- Oversee all payroll components including earnings, overtime, commissions, deductions, and off-cycle payments
- Ensure accurate statutory remittances including CPP, EI, EHT, and WSIB
- Manage payroll reconciliations and labour cost tracking
Compliance & Governance
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and provincial legislation and collective agreements
- Oversee payroll reporting, tax filings, and year-end activities
- Maintain strong controls and audit-ready payroll documentation
Systems & Continuous Improvement
- Act as the Dayforce (or equivalent HRIS) payroll expert
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting, and efficiencies
- Troubleshoot complex payroll issues and recommend solutions
Partnership & Impact
- Partner closely with HR, Finance, and Operations to support business needs
- Serve as the primary escalation point for payroll matters
- Support payroll budgeting, forecasting, and reporting initiatives
Who You Are:
- 5+ years of progressive payroll experience in a high-volume environment (500+ employees preferred)
- Strong knowledge of Canadian payroll legislation
- Experience with Dayforce or a comparable HRIS system
- Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP)
- PCP designation preferred (CPM is an asset)
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to meet deadlines
- A collaborative mindset with strong communication skills
