Location: 50th Street, Edmonton, AB T6B 2N7, Canada
Contract Length: 6 months (with potential extension or permanent opportunity)
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (overtime required as needed)
Pay Rate: Up to $25/hr
Reporting To: Rudy Molina (Primary), Mike McFetridge (Secondary)
The Shipping / Receiving Clerk is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely flow of materials between receiving, inventory, manufacturing, and customer shipments. This role supports shipping, planning, sales, and operations by maintaining accurate records, coordinating shipments, and ensuring inventory accuracy.
- Receive, unpack, and verify incoming shipments for accuracy and condition
- Record and update shipment details in paper-based and digital systems
- Report discrepancies, damages, or issues to Inventory Control and Buyers
- Prepare, process, and maintain shipping and receiving documentation (domestic and international)
- Coordinate pickups, track shipments, and communicate with carriers and suppliers to resolve issues
- Organize and store materials in designated stockroom locations while maintaining cleanliness and order
- Perform order picking, packing, and cycle counting activities as required
- Conduct regular inventory checks to ensure accurate warehouse balances
- Maintain organized and up-to-date filing systems for easy document retrieval
- Follow established procedures accurately and consistently
- Perform additional warehouse duties as assigned
- High School Diploma or GED
- 5–7 years of relevant warehouse/shipping & receiving experience
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs
- Basic knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory control
- Forklift experience
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, PRMS)
- Familiarity with carrier systems such as FedEx and UPS
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
