Position Summary:
We are currently hiring a Processor Operator who can operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner. The ideal candidate will have experience operating forestry machinery and working in rugged outdoor environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a forestry processor to delimb, cut, and process logs to specified lengths.
- Perform daily inspections, maintenance checks, and minor repairs on equipment.
- Maintain productivity levels while following company and industry safety standards.
- Accurately record production data and report equipment issues.
- Work collaboratively with the harvesting crew and supervisors.
- Operate machinery in varying terrain and weather conditions.
Qualifications:
- Experience an asset
- Strong understanding of forestry safety standards and equipment maintenance.
- Ability to work independently in remote locations.
- Physically fit and capable of working in challenging outdoor conditions.
- Valid driver’s license (Class 5 preferred); preference for candidates with a clean driving record.
- First Aid an asset.
