About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented experienced 3PL Coordinator to join our fast-paced team in Winnipeg, MB. This role is focused on freight quoting, carrier procurement, and brokerage operations, with a strong emphasis on flat deck transportation. The ideal candidate will have experience pricing and coordinating complex freight movements, developing carrier relationships, and delivering cost-effective transportation solutions across Canada and the United States.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and competitive freight quotations while balancing service requirements and profit margins.
- Source, negotiate, and secure carrier capacity for flat deck, specialized, and dry van freight.
- Coordinate and broker FTL and LTL shipments across Canada and the United States.
- Manage flat deck shipments, including construction materials, steel, machinery, industrial components, oversized freight, and project cargo.
- Ensure proper equipment selection, load planning, securement requirements, permit considerations, and routing for flat deck freight.
- Monitor market conditions and carrier availability to provide competitive pricing and transportation solutions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers, customers, and industry partners.
- Proactively resolve capacity challenges, service issues, and shipment exceptions.
- Maintain accurate shipment, pricing, and carrier information within the transportation management system.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in transportation, freight brokerage, logistics, or 3PL operations.
- Experience preparing and managing high-volume freight quotations.
- Strong understanding of transportation pricing, carrier procurement, rate negotiation, and margin management.
- Extensive knowledge of flat deck equipment, load planning, and specialized transportation solutions.
- Experience coordinating and brokering FTL and LTL shipments.
- Proven ability to build carrier relationships and secure capacity in competitive markets.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with transportation management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume brokerage environment.
