Role Overview
We are seeking a high-energy, passionate, and qualified Youth Strength & Conditioning Coach to assist in the delivery of our Sport Performance program offered in partnership with Parkland Student Athlete Academy.
In this role, you will work directly with student-athletes in grades 7–12 across various sports disciplines. You will be responsible for creating an encouraging, disciplined, and safe training environment that drives physical performance and long-term athletic development.
Key ResponsibilitiesProgram Delivery & Coaching
- Lead energetic, dynamic group strength and conditioning sessions utilizing the E.A.T.S. Method standard protocols.
- Teach, coach, and correct proper movement mechanics, lifting techniques, speed/agility work, and recovery habits tailored to middle and high school developmental stages.
- Modify exercises and progressions based on athlete age, training age, individual skill level, or physical limitations.
Athlete Engagement & Culture
- Foster a high-energy, inclusive, and positive team culture where athletes are motivated to excel.
- Serve as a positive role model, instilling accountability, discipline, leadership, and sportsmanship.
- Communicate effectively with student-athletes, encouraging personal growth and confidence.
Safety & Communication
- Ensure strict adherence to gym safety, equipment handling, and lifting guidelines.
Qualifications & Requirements
Required:
- Certification: Active CPR/AED and First Aid certifications.
- Experience: 1+ years of experience coaching youth, middle school, or high school athletes in a group, team, or private setting is considered an asset. Personal experience with strength training is required.
- Skills: Strong voice, excellent command of group dynamics, high energy, and the ability to simplify complex movement concepts for young athletes.
Preferred:
- Background: Personal background in competitive athletics or high school/collegiate sports as a coach and/or athlete.
