We are currently hiring reliable and hardworking individuals for an on-call seasonal position performing litter pickup duties in Watford Ontario.
It is a on-call position meaning we cannot guarantee hours. Typically, this has been 2 weeks of full time work per month - 8AM-4PM Monday to Friday. The "season" typically ends in November.
WHMIS, Health And Safety Training and on site training is required to be a part of this role. You will be paid for training if you do not have valid certificates.
This role involves outdoor work in varying weather conditions and requires someone who is dependable, physically capable, and able to work independently and in a small team.
Responsibilities
- Picking up litter and debris around landfill property
- Maintaining cleanliness of designated areas
- Walking outdoor grounds for extended periods
- Using basic cleanup tools and equipment
- Wearing PPE throughout the entire shift.
- Following all site safety procedures and directions
Requirements
- Must be reliable and punctual
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions (typically do not work in pouring rain)
- Physically able to walk, bend, lift, and perform manual labour
- Steel toe boots and other PPE required
- Valid driver’s license and transportation is required to the site.
- Previous labour experience is an asset but not required
