Overview
The Hotel Shuttle Driver / Houseperson is a dual-role position responsible for providing safe, courteous transportation services to hotel guests while also supporting housekeeping and facilities operations. This role ensures guests receive timely shuttle service and that hotel public areas and back-of-house spaces are clean, organized, and well maintained
Valid class 4 license is required, with a clear driver's abstract.
Previous transport experience, with hotel shuttle experience being an asset.
Ability to assist guest's with loading and unloading their luggage (up to 50lbs.)
Ability to multi-task, with good time management skills.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate the hotel shuttle to transport guests to and from designated locations
- Provide friendly, professional, and courteous service to all guests
- Assist guests with luggage and answer basic questions about the hotel and local area
- Follow assigned shuttle routes, schedules, and hotel transportation policies
- Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any safety or maintenance issues
- Keep the shuttle vehicle clean, fueled, and in good working condition
- Clean and maintain hotel public areas including lobby, hallways, restrooms, elevators, and back-of-house areas
- Support housekeeping by delivering linens, towels, amenities, and supplies to guest rooms and service areas
- Collect and remove trash and used linens from guest floors and designated areas
- Set up, rearrange, and break down meeting rooms or event spaces as needed
- Respond promptly to guest service requests and internal department calls
- Follow hotel cleanliness standards, safety guidelines, and OSHA regulations
- Report lost and found items according to hotel procedures
- Assist laundry or maintenance departments when needed
- Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to hotel grooming standards
