Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. This role is essential for the efficient movement, storage, and management of inventory within our distribution center. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, experience operating various types of forklifts, including clamp trucks and order pickers, and be comfortable with warehouse management systems. Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts, clamp trucks, and order pickers safely and efficiently to move materials throughout the warehouse.
- Perform order picking tasks accurately according to warehouse management system instructions.
- Load and unload goods from trucks, pallets, or storage areas while adhering to safety protocols.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance needs.
- Assist with inventory management by organizing stock and maintaining accurate records of movements.
- Use basic math skills to verify quantities and measurements during order fulfillment.
- Follow safety guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
- Heavy lifting may be required when handling large or bulky items.
Skills
- Proven experience operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, and order pickers.
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems for accurate inventory control.
- Strong understanding of warehouse distribution processes and order picking procedures.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately under pressure.
- Physical strength for heavy lifting and extended periods of standing or moving within the warehouse environment.
