Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Assistant Manager to oversee daily warehouse operations, ensure efficient order fulfillment, and maintain safety standards. The ideal candidate will have strong warehouse experience, mechanical knowledge, and proficiency with warehouse management systems. This role involves managing heavy equipment operation, shipping and receiving processes, and leading a team to meet operational goals in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate warehouse activities including order picking, packing, and shipping & receiving
- Operate heavy equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, cranes, and other heavy machinery safely and efficiently
- Oversee the load & unload of goods, ensuring proper handling and storage in accordance with safety protocols
- Manage inventory using warehouse management systems like AS400 and ensure accurate order fulfillment
- Lead and train warehouse staff on equipment operation, safety procedures, and best practices for warehouse distribution
- Maintain compliance with safety regulations related to heavy lifting, construction standards, and equipment operation
- Monitor warehouse operations to optimize workflow and improve productivity
- Collaborate with manufacturing and construction teams to coordinate materials movement and logistics
Qualifications
- Bilingual: English and Chinese (Required)
- Proven experience in warehouse management or supervisory roles within a distribution or manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of warehouse equipment including reach trucks, order pickers, cranes, forklifts, and other heavy machinery
- Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation and maintenance
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems such as AS400 or similar platforms
- Experience with shipping & receiving processes, order picking, packaging, and order fulfillment
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Prior experience working with heavy equipment operation certifications is preferred
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to train and motivate team members

Pay: $54,209.15-$65,351.20 per year
