Position Summary
The Filler Operator is responsible for the setup, operation, cleaning, and monitoring of filling and packaging equipment within a dairy manufacturing facility. This role ensures production efficiency, product quality, food safety compliance, and adherence to company standards and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform filler setup and equipment preparation at the start of each production shift.
- Operate fluid filling equipment, bottle washers, and packaging machinery safely and efficiently.
- Conduct equipment tear-down, Clean-in-Place (CIP) procedures, cleaning, and reassembly as required.
- Monitor product quality and maintain quality control standards throughout the production process.
- Troubleshoot minor equipment and operational issues and report maintenance concerns promptly.
- Safely operate a floor jack; forklift certification is considered an asset but is not required.
- Maintain compliance with GMP, food safety, and workplace safety requirements.
- Complete required production and quality documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Support housekeeping and sanitation standards within the production area.
- Work collaboratively with production, quality assurance, and maintenance teams.
