Band Saw Operator
Aim Industrial Inc. is a multi-trade contractor servicing automotive, and industrial clients throughout Ontario. We are looking for someone to work out of our Cambridge shop. The successful candidate should have the following attributes to apply
Job requirements:
Must have minimum 3 yrs experience, in a fabrication shop **** SAW CUTTING STEEL IS FIRST PRIORITY, FOR THIS JOB *****
This is not a automated CNC job. Processes are manual on our band saws
Must have valid driver's license, & wheels to get to work
Must have experience with the following:
Heavy lifting and awkward positions will be encountered
Able to work alone, or as a team
Able to work from verbal, or written instructions --- cut lists etc.
MUST BE ABLE TO IDENTIFY CORRECTLY * [ CRITICAL ] * STEEL SIZES, AND SHAPES, THAT GET CUT TO LENGTHS ********
Able to work overtime as required - sometimes on short notice
Able to work safely, using forklifts, and overhead cranes --- tickets an asset
Able to maintain a clean environment at all times, including receiving new steel
Keeping steel racks organized, at all times, and sorting to correct racks ******
Keeping steel for jobs organized ******
Able to use -Measuring tape * [ critical ] * & tools required for this position********
Hyde-Mech band saws [ 2 ]
Iron worker machines
trained, & experience on plasma table a asset
Drill presses, and mag drills
Grinders, sanders
Fitter's, or painters helper, if and when needed
