Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Architectural Drafter to join our design team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating precise technical drawings and plans that support architectural projects from conception through construction. The Architectural Drafter will work closely with architects, designers, engineers, and construction professionals to ensure accurate and comprehensive documentation of project specifications. Duties
- Develop detailed architectural drawings, schematics, and plans using CAD software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp and Revit.
- Create 2D and 3D models to visualize architectural concepts effectively.
- Assist in preparing construction documents, including layouts, sections, elevations, and details.
- Collaborate with project teams to interpret design concepts and translate them into accurate technical drawings.
- Incorporate building codes, zoning regulations, and client specifications into all drawings.
- Utilize SketchUp, NavisWorks, Civil 3D, and 2D animation tools for project visualization and presentation purposes.
- Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements.
- Support revisions based on team feedback or client input throughout the project lifecycle.
- Maintain organized digital files of all drawings and documentation for easy access and updates.
Experience
- Proven experience in architectural drafting or related field with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
- Proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, SolidWorks, SketchUp, NavisWorks, Civil 3D, and 2D animation tools is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of schematics, construction documentation, and technical drafting standards.
- Familiarity with construction processes and building codes to ensure compliant design documentation.
- Prior experience working on architectural or civil projects is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple projects efficiently.
- Ability to interpret architectural sketches and translate them into precise technical drawings.
