Rocksaw Paving Ltd. is looking for an experienced and dependable Class 1 Driver to join our team for the paving and construction season in the Grande Prairie area.
This is primarily local work hauling aggregates, asphalt, equipment, and construction materials for paving and site work operations. Applicants should be comfortable operating a variety of truck and trailer configurations and working closely with paving and base prep crews.
We are looking for someone who is safety-minded, reliable, hardworking, and takes pride in operating equipment professionally.
Responsibilities
- Hauling aggregates, gravel, asphalt, and construction materials
- Local hauling for paving and base preparation operations
- Operating:
- Tri-axle trucks
- End dumps
- Clamshells
- Pup trailers
- Body jobs
- Some mat hauling and oilfield-related hauling
- Completing daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Securing loads safely and properly
- Assisting crews when required on-site
- Maintaining clean and organized equipment
- Following company safety policies and procedures
- Communicating effectively with dispatch, foremen, and crew members
- Requirements
- Valid Class 1 Driver’s License
- Clean driver’s abstract
- Experience hauling aggregates and asphalt preferred
- Experience with end dumps, pups, and clamshells considered an asset
- Ability to work long hours during peak season when required
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Ability to work safely in a fast-paced construction environment

Pay: $35.00-$40.00 per hour
