Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to lead our culinary team and deliver exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive food preparation and cooking expertise, and a passion for hospitality. This role involves overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining high-quality food service in a dynamic restaurant environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Supervise kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and performance management
- Oversee food handling procedures to ensure safety and hygiene compliance
- Manage food inventory, ordering supplies as needed to maintain stock levels
- Ensure all food served meets quality standards and presentation expectations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area
- Collaborate with restaurant management to develop menu offerings and special promotions
- Lead by example in delivering excellent customer service during serving hours
- Enforce health and safety regulations to create a safe working environment for all staff
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and restaurant management
- Supervising experience with strong team management skills
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Extensive kitchen experience within the food industry or hospitality sector
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with a focus on team development
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with staff and management
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Passion for culinary arts and delivering exceptional customer service
- Prior experience in restaurant or food service environments is highly desirable
Pay: $24.00-$26.00 per hour
