Job Overview
Perth Precision are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assembler/Operator to join our manufacturing team. This role involves assembling components, operating machinery, and ensuring quality standards are met throughout the production process. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, experience with manufacturing tools, and the ability to interpret schematics and blueprints. Duties
- Assemble parts and components according to detailed schematics, blueprints, and work instructions
- Operate various manufacturing equipment and machinery safely and efficiently
- Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, and other measuring devices to ensure parts meet specifications
- Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and blueprints for assembly processes
- Conduct quality inspections during assembly to identify defects or deviations from standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency
- Assist with troubleshooting equipment issues and perform basic maintenance or changeovers as needed
- Utilize forklift or other warehouse equipment when necessary for material handling (if certified)
- Follow safety protocols at all times to ensure a safe working environment
Experience
- Prior experience in manufacturing, assembly, or warehouse environments preferred
- Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings is highly desirable
- Experience with machining, welding, or mechanical systems is a plus
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, calipers, and other measurement instruments
- Warehouse experience including forklift operation is advantageous but not required
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with the ability to read schematics and work with technical documentation
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
Pay: $21.00-$24.00 per hour
