Junior Allen Bradley PLC & HMI Programmer — Northumberland / Belleville / GTA Corridor,
AZ Robotics Inc., a Greater Toronto Area industrial automation and robotics company, is growing and hiring our first controls programmer. We're supporting a major automotive manufacturer in the Belleville, Ontario area, with additional project work across the Greater Toronto Area.
Because work spans both locations, we're looking for someone based between the GTA and Belleville — the Northumberland County / Cobourg / Port Hope corridor is ideal — so you're within reasonable reach of both.
What you'll do:
- Program, troubleshoot, and commission Allen Bradley PLCs (Studio 5000 / RSLogix)
- Build and modify FactoryTalk HMI applications
- Support controls and automation on-site at customer facilities
- Grow into robotics, vision systems, and networked automation with direct mentorship
What we're looking for:
- 0–2 years of experience in industrial controls or automation (new grads welcome)
- Working knowledge of Allen Bradley PLC programming (Studio 5000 / RSLogix) — this is the core requirement
- Familiarity with FactoryTalk or other HMI development
- Solid electrical/controls fundamentals and willingness to learn on-site
- Reliable, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently at customer sites
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel between sites
- Based in the GTA–Belleville corridor (Northumberland area preferred)
Nice to have (we'll train you on these):
- Machine vision systems (Cognex, Keyence)
- Robot programming (Fanuc, Panasonic, ABB)
- Industrial networking and safety systems
Compensation & structure:
- $28–36/hour, based on experience
- Travel, hotel, and site expenses covered when working away from home base
- Work volume tracks active projects — busier at times, with steady ongoing demand
