Heal Space is a multidisciplinary sports medicine clinic offering a comprehensive range of healthcare and wellness services alongside strength and conditioning. Our mission is to help people move better, feel better, and perform at their highest level.
Our newly expanded facility features a fully equipped training space with squat racks, turf, dumbbells, and kettlebells, creating a unique environment where clients can seamlessly progress from rehabilitation to performance training.
Position Overview
We are seeking a passionate, knowledgeable, and motivated Strength & Conditioning Coach to join our growing team. This individual will work with a diverse client base ranging from general population clients seeking improved health and fitness to athletes striving to optimize performance.
The ideal candidate is energetic, professional, and committed to delivering exceptional coaching experiences while collaborating closely with our multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct semi-private training sessions
- Lead small-group strength and conditioning classes
- Lead and develop youth athletic development programs
- Design individualized training programs based on client goals, abilities, and assessment findings
- Perform functional assessments to evaluate strength, mobility, movement quality, and training limitations
- Collaborate with physiotherapists, chiropractors, osteopaths, massage therapists, and sports medicine physicians
- Support clients transitioning from rehabilitation to performance-based training
- Track client progress and maintain accurate records
- Foster a welcoming, motivating, and inclusive training environment
- Contribute to community events, workshops, and clinic initiatives
Qualifications Required:
- Degree or diploma in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or a related field
- Current CPR/AED certification
- Strong understanding of exercise prescription, movement assessment, and program design
- Demonstrated proficiency coaching foundational movement patterns, including:
- Squat variations
- Deadlift variations
- Push and pull variations
- Lunges and single-leg exercises
- Kettlebell swing variations
- Core stability and trunk control exercises
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred
- Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS)
- Certified Exercise Physiologist (CSEP-CEP)
- Personal Training Certification (CanFitPro, CPTN, NASM, ACE, etc.)
- StrongFirst Certification
- Functional Range Conditioning (FRC) Certification
- Experience coaching athletes and active adults
- Experience working within an interdisciplinary healthcare environment

Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
