Engagement Manager – Aerospace Programs

Job Summary
Cyient is hiring an experienced Engagement Manager to manage strategic customer relationships, oversee aerospace programs, identify business-growth opportunities, and coordinate program delivery across Canada.
This position will serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customers and will work closely with sales, delivery, talent acquisition, engineering, and global delivery teams. The Engagement Manager will be accountable for customer satisfaction, account growth, revenue performance, resource fulfillment, program execution, and the timely resolution of customer issues.
The ideal candidate will have at least 15 years of experience managing complex, multidisciplinary aerospace programs involving aircraft structures and will have worked with major aircraft OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, or engineering-services organizations.
ResponsibilitiesCustomer and Account Management
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with customer leaders and stakeholders.
- Develop customer account plans that support satisfaction, retention, and growth.
- Conduct regular in-person meetings and operational reviews with customers.
- Serve as the single point of contact for project status, program performance, and customer communication.
- Coordinate and resolve customer escalations with delivery and offshore teams.
- Support customer visits and customer-satisfaction improvement initiatives.
Business Development and Revenue Growth
- Identify new opportunities within existing and prospective customer accounts.
- Work with sales and delivery teams to support account mining and business development.
- Develop proactive proposals, business cases, and statements of work.
- Present business proposals for internal and customer approval.
- Follow up with customers until proposals are approved and purchase orders are issued.
- Support achievement of revenue targets and annual account objectives.
- Map customer organizations to identify opportunities across multiple business groups.
Program and Delivery Management
- Coordinate with global delivery teams to ensure programs are completed on time and meet quality expectations.
- Manage the overall status and communication of customer projects.
- Participate in daily, weekly, and monthly customer and delivery meetings.
- Track commitments, risks, issues, and action items through closure.
- Support project scoping and help customers develop statements of work and technical proposals.
- Review customer escalations and coordinate timely corrective actions.
- Manage large teams and complex, multidisciplinary aerospace programs.
Resource Fulfillment
- Partner with Talent Acquisition and Delivery teams to support timely hiring and resource deployment.
- Monitor staffing requirements and support the onboarding of new employees.
- Help ensure the appropriate technical resources are assigned to customer programs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 15 years of experience in project or program management.
- Significant experience managing aerospace or aircraft-structures programs.
- Experience working with aircraft OEMs, Tier 1 aerospace suppliers, or engineering-services companies.
- Strong knowledge of program and project management methodologies.
- Experience managing large teams and complex customer programs.
- Strong customer relationship management and stakeholder-management skills.
- Experience preparing business cases, proposals, statements of work, and customer presentations.
- Excellent written, verbal, presentation, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to travel to customer sites in Calgary, Victoria, and other Canadian locations as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP, Certified ScrumMaster, or equivalent certification.
- MBA or other advanced business qualification.
- Experience with aerospace engineering-services delivery.
- Experience managing revenue targets and account-growth initiatives.
- Experience coordinating global or offshore engineering teams.
Work Location and Travel
The position is based in Mississauga, Ontario and requires regular on-site customer interaction. Travel to customer locations, including Calgary and Victoria, will be required based on business and program needs.
