Overview:
Pick-your-own and pre-picked strawberry/vegetable/flowers farm and farm market requiring farm market garden worker supervisor to help from mid to late June to the end of August.
Main duties:
1. Supervisory role in the pick-your-own fields and farm market providing direction to staff and customers
2. Managing efficient customer traffic flow through the farm from entrance to exit in both the PYO fields and farm market.
3. Determining staff placement in fields, parking lot and tents depending on time of day and number of customers at the farm
4. Assisting customers with purchases through the use of technology (ie: tablets and other point-of-sales devices)
5. Assisting with capturing and helping to plan social media content in collaboration with our social media company using cameras, smartphones, computers and AI to assist
6. Ensuring produce is stocked in the market in an organized manner and maintaining inventory
7. Assisting with creating and maintaining schedule for staff
8. Other duties and tasks as they arise

Notable requirements:
This role requires the employee to work outdoors for extended periods standing, walking and fulfilling tasks in uneven physical terrain.
This role requires the employee to be available to work on weekends from late June through to the end of July.

Previous customer service experience an asset
Previous work with point-of-sale equipment an asset
Skills Development:
This role offers skills development in communications, customer service and hands-on farm market labour, all in a fast-paced, collegial environment. It is an excellent opportunity for senior high school, college and university students who enjoy working outdoors.
