Duties
- Engage with customers both inside the showroom and through outside sales efforts to understand their needs and present tailored stair and railing solutions
- Conduct product demonstrations, including sketches using tools like SketchUp or CAD software to help customers visualize designs
- Manage customer accounts efficiently, ensuring seamless communication and follow-up throughout the sales process
- Upsell complementary products such as balustrades, newel posts, or custom finishes to maximize sales opportunities
- Assist customers with product selection, pricing, negotiation, and closing sales using POS systems and cash handling procedures
- Coordinate with the renovation and construction teams to ensure timely delivery and installation of products
- Maintain organized merchandising displays, update product knowledge regularly, and stay informed on industry trends in high-end sales and remodeling
Requirements
- Proven experience in outside sales, retail sales, or inside sales within the renovation or construction industry
- Strong communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse clientele
- Familiarity with SketchUp, CAD software, or similar design tools to create visual representations for clients
- Knowledge of POS systems, cash handling procedures, and basic math for accurate transactions
- Experience with negotiation techniques to close high-end sales effectively
- Background in construction or renovation projects enhances understanding of customer needs and technical specifications
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple accounts and merchandising efforts simultaneously
- Customer service-oriented mindset with a passion for delivering memorable shopping experiences
