Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the dental team by providing exceptional patient care, assisting with procedures, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. Experience with dental software such as Abeldent and Maxassist, as well as familiarity with orthodontics and pediatrics, will be highly valued. Duties
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments in accordance with infection control protocols
- Assist the dentist during various procedures, including restorations, extractions, and orthodontic treatments
- Take and develop dental radiographs using CAD technology when necessary
- Manage patient records using Abedent and Maxassist software systems
- Provide patient education on oral health, post-treatment care, and preventive practices
- Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient flow, functioning as a dental receptionist when needed
- Assist with pediatric patients by creating a welcoming environment and explaining procedures in an age-appropriate manner
- Maintain accurate medical terminology documentation and ensure compliance with all safety standards
Qualifications
- Proven experience in dental assisting, with knowledge of dental terminology and clinical procedures
- Familiarity with dental software platforms such as Epic and Dentrix
- Experience working with orthodontics and pediatrics is preferred
- Knowledge of CAD imaging technology is a plus
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Certification or training in dental assisting is required or equivalent experience in a clinical setting
- A professional attitude combined with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively

Pay: $21.00-$28.00 per hour
