Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Traffic Management Supervisor to oversee traffic planning and control operations for construction and civil projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong project management skills and expertise in civil design software, ensuring efficient traffic flow and safety during project execution. This role offers an opportunity to lead critical aspects of infrastructure development, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver successful outcomes.
Duties
- Develop and review traffic management plans utilizing Rapid Plan and other AutoCAD software to ensure compliance with safety standards and project specifications.
- Lead the design and implementation of system designs related to traffic flow, detours, signage, and roadway modifications using GIS tools such as ArcGIS and Bluebeam.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, coordinating with construction teams, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure timely completion of traffic control measures.
- Oversee the creation of detailed drawings, maps, and reports that accurately depict traffic layouts and control strategies.
- Conduct site inspections to monitor traffic management effectiveness, making adjustments as necessary to optimize safety and efficiency.
- Ensure all traffic management activities adhere to local regulations, safety standards, and environmental guidelines.
- Provide technical guidance on system design, project management processes, and the integration of GIS data into planning efforts.
Requirements
- Proven experience in traffic management or transportation planning within the construction or civil engineering industry.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, Bluebeam, ArcGIS, and other CAD/GIS software platforms.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of construction processes, civil design principles, and system design methodologies.
- Familiarity with GIS applications for spatial analysis and data visualization related to traffic systems.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating across teams and presenting technical information clearly.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining attention to detail. This position is integral to ensuring safe and efficient transportation during infrastructure projects while providing opportunities for professional growth within a dynamic team environment.
Pay: $55,000.01-$65,000.00 per year
