Jealous Fruits is the northernmost large-scale cherry producer in North America. We grow premium cherries along the shores of Okanagan Lake in the renowned Okanagan Valley of British Columbia, Canada. Our cherries are hand packed in our state-of-the-art facility, located right on our farm, and shipped to customers worldwide.

Job Purpose
The Harvest Quality Control Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the quality of cherry picking during harvest to ensure fruit integrity is maintained. This role leads a team of Quality Control staff, ensures consistent quality standards are upheld across all orchard operations.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise and support the Quality Control team in daily orchard operations
- Oversee inspection of picked totes to ensure cherries are free from damage and excessive debris
- Monitor and evaluate picking quality, identifying trends or recurring issues
- Provide clear, constructive feedback to Team Leaders and picking crews to improve performance
- Ensure consistency in quality standards, reporting, and evaluation methods across the team
- Compile and report sampling results and quality trends to Management
- Train, coach, and mentor Quality Control staff
- Collaborate with Orchard and Production leadership to address quality concerns in real time
- Ensure compliance with company policies, food safety, and Health & Safety standards
- Participate in and help facilitate Health & Safety training for team members

Qualifications
- Previous experience in agriculture, quality control, or supervisory role preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to assess product quality accurately
- Demonstrated leadership or team coordination experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to provide constructive feedback in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure
- Flexible team player with a positive attitude
- Knowledge of Spanish and/or French is considered an asset

Working Conditions
Our working environment is fast-paced and demanding over a short harvest period. Applicants should be aware that:
- Work hours are dependent on crop maturity and weather conditions
- Workweeks are typically 50+ hours and may be longer during peak periods
- As agricultural employment, overtime provisions do not apply
- Schedule may include early mornings, evenings, and night shifts (night picking runs mid-July through end of season)
- This role is physically demanding and requires standing for extended periods and lifting up to 30 lbs
- Availability is required from End of June through early September
- Must be comfortable working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and nationalities

Pay: $21.00-$23.00 per hour
