Electrical Panel Shop Technician
Location: Calgary, AB
Crossroads is hiring two Electrical Panel Shop Technicians to join our growing Calgary team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with their hands, has an interest in electrical systems, and wants to build a long-term career in the electrical industry.
Whether you're just starting your career or have some panel fabrication or electrical assembly experience, this role offers hands-on training, career growth, and the opportunity to work alongside an experienced team in a supportive environment.
What You'll Do
- Fabricate and assemble a variety of electrical control panels and enclosures
- Lay out panels according to general arrangement drawings
- Mount hardware, wire duct, terminals, and electrical components
- Drill and prepare panel entries and enclosures
- Install wiring and complete terminations according to electrical drawings and schematics
- Perform quality control checks on wiring and terminations
- Document panel components and maintain accurate project records
- Receive, organize, and manage project materials
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Work closely with the team to deliver high-quality panel builds on schedule
What You Bring Required Qualifications
- Experience working with hand and power tools
- Aptitude and desire to learn and advance in the electrical industry
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and follow detailed instructions
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to layout, assemble, and wire electrical components in cabinets and enclosures
- Comfortable working in a fabrication or shop environment
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and common web-based applications
- Valid driver's license and clean driver's abstract
- Reliable transportation to our Calgary facility
- Must be a Canadian Citizen currently residing in the Calgary area
Nice to Have
- Previous electrical education or training
- Experience with electrical control panel fabrication
- Assembly or manufacturing experience
- Experience reading electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and single-line drawings
- First Aid certification
Compensation & Benefits
- $20–$30/hour, depending on experience
