Grand Precision Machining is known as a long term, reliable, and dependable key partner in many of our customers' supply chains, by providing machining solutions that meet their schedules with the highest quality standards.
As we continue to grow we are looking to expand our team of skilled machinists for our CNC milling department for our afternoon shift. You will train on day shift and progressive to our afternoons shift.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC equipment using CNC controls
- Calibrate tools and tool offsets
- Machine product to specified requirements as defined by drawings and customer requirements.
- Maintain equipment in safe and productive condition, including but not limited to, regular routine lubrication, cleaning, maintaining coolant levels
- Practice general housekeeping, including but not limited to, his/her work area, chip removal, floor areas, benches, storage areas to ensure a safe work environment
- Maintain measuring instruments in proper working condition by regular cleaning and storing instruments in a safe location both during use and after completion of use as per ISO standards.
- Comply with company policies and procedures
- Afternoon shift ( 3:30PM-1:45AM M-T )
- Over time available after 40 hours.
- Experience with castings would be a major asset.
Experience/Skills/Education:
- A Certificate of Qualification
- Experience on Haas CNC machines would be an asset ( NGC Control )
- Previous experience with the set up and operation of 5 axis CNC equipment is required ( 5+ years )
- A strong understanding of machining principles and understanding of G & M code is essential
- Good command of the English language both written and verbal
- Demonstrated communication, problem solving, interpersonal and analytical skills
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
