Job Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of our premises, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring property, enforcing security protocols, and maintaining a secure environment. Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of the facility to deter unauthorized access and identify potential security risks
- Monitor surveillance systems, including CCTV cameras, to observe activity and respond promptly to any suspicious behavior
- Enforce loss prevention policies by observing and preventing theft or vandalism
- Respond to alarms, incidents, or emergencies swiftly and appropriately
- Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and observations
- Assist visitors and staff with inquiries while ensuring access control protocols are followed
- Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services when necessary to resolve security issues
Experience
- Prior experience in law enforcement, security, or related fields is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with surveillance systems and CCTV operation is highly desirable
- Knowledge of loss prevention techniques and security best practices is advantageous
- Strong observational skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure are essential
- Previous experience in a security role will be considered an asset but training will be provided as needed
Pay: $16.00-$16.85 per hour
