Reporting to the Manager, Prevention & Health Promotion, the Occupational Hygienist provides consultation, research and educational support on occupational hygiene issues for the Wellness & Safety Team and for managers, supervisors and staff of the Vancouver Island Health Authority (VIHA). The Occupational Hygienist is responsible for coordinating the planning, development, implementation and evaluation of an organization-wide Occupational Hygiene Program.
A level of education, training and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in Sciences (Master's degree in Occupational Hygiene preferred) and three (3) years recent related experience in a healthcare environment including experience in program planning, implementation, evaluation and adult education.
