What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities):
- Lawn & Garden Care: Cut grass, weed, prune, trim, and plant bulbs, flowers, shrubs, and trees.
- Property Treatments: Safely apply fertilizers, fungicides, herbicides, pesticides, and other specialized lawn care products.
- Site Enhancements: Spread topsoil, mulch, and decorative rock by hand or wheelbarrow; assist with hand leveling and grading loam.
- Equipment Operation: Safely and effectively utilize power lawn mowers, ride-on mowers, push mowers, trimmers, blowers, and pruners.
- Safety & Care: Maintain a clean workspace by removing litter/garbage, and strictly understand and follow the Landform Safety Program.
What You Bring (Requirements):
- Experience: 1 year of related landscape experience and commercial or industrial landscape maintenance experience is a strong asset.
- Language: Basic English communication skills.
- Tools/Gear: Must own and provide your own steel-toed safety boots.
- Personal Suitability: Exceptional reliability, flexibility, strong organizational skills, efficient interpersonal skills, and a team-player attitude.
Work Conditions & Physical Capabilities:
- Hours: Ability to work long hours (8–12 hours/day, 5–6 days/week).
- Season Duration: Until October 31, weather dependent. Opportunity for snow removal work in the winter.
- Environment: Prepared to work outdoors in all weather conditions and noisy environments.
- Physical Demands: Capable of handling heavy loads up to 23 kg (50 lbs) with strong manual dexterity.
- Stamina & Agility: Comfortable performing repetitive tasks with high attention to detail while sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, or kneeling.
- Vision: Ability to accurately distinguish between colours.
