RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide the highest quality treatments to guests, in compliance with all Wedgewood Hotel & Spa policies/service procedures/standards
- Provide facial, nails and waxing treatments to guests.
- Perform skin analysis, inquire about contraindications and assess skincare needs prior to commencing treatment.
- Escort guests to and from treatment rooms, and other spa areas as requested by guests.
- Prepare treatment room and work areas at the beginning of each shift.
- Maintain cleanliness of work area throughout shift, sanitize and properly store tools and equipment at the end of each shift.
- Promote and upsell treatments and retail suited to guest needs.
- Keep up to date with current techniques and modalities related to the field of work.
- Periodically ascertain guest comfort, safety and privacy throughout the service. Direct all efforts toward guest satisfaction.
- Report any treatment room defects to spa management to ensure prompt follow up.
- Maintain current skills and license in specialized area per state requirements.
- Maintain complete knowledge of all products used in treatment and available for retail
- Be punctual and prepared for treatments.
- Uphold a positive team spirit.
- Anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day.
- Attend all scheduled meetings, classes and training sessions required for position.
- Verify medical releases from guests with applicable medical conditions.
- Sanitize implements.
- Sell and promote merchandise.
- Complete required post-treatment clean-up in accordance with procedures.
- Responsible for stocking supplies needed for cabinets (sheets, towels, blankets, refill oils, creams, and all products used by therapists while performing their treatments).
- All other duties as required.
Job Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience: Minimum 4 years esthetics/ massage experience in a luxury spa environment, preferably within a luxury hotel.
- Education: Esthetic Certification from the Cosmetology Association of BC or equivalent certification level.
- Language: Required to speak, read and write English. Additional language is an asset.
- Must be available to work
- Monday: 9am-6pm
- Friday: 9am-6pm
- Saturday: 1pm-8pm
- Other days can be arranged flexibly with management team.

Experience:
