Lead the charge in delivering high-quality infrastructure by driving excellence in contract review and quality assurance.
In this dynamic Engineering Program Delivery Northwest role, you'll guide complex project standards, shape policy development, and collaborate with engineering professionals to ensure precise, consistent, and impactful project outcomes from concept to completion.
In this role, you will:
- direct the activities of the contract review unit
- plan, develop and coordinate a review program for the detailed analysis of regional contract drawings
- provide advice and guidance to engineering staff and consultants on interpretation of policy pertaining to contract review methodology
- implement review and quality assurance procedures
- provide expertise on the development of policy standards, specifications and other guidelines
- facilitate preparation of contract packages
- prepare reports and make presentations on review findings
- You have knowledge of contract documents with the proven ability to read and interpret contract drawings and specifications.
- You have knowledge of the proper application of contract drawings in the tendering process.
- You have the ability to interpret and apply relevant highway engineering standards, specifications and special provisions.
- You have knowledge of practices and guidelines pertaining to contract documentation review methodology and tendering practices.
- You have proven administrative and supervisory skills.
- You can provide direction to staff and monitor progress.
- You can plan, develop, and coordinate comprehensive review programs to support the detailed analysis of regional contract documents.
- You have proven analytical and problem-solving skills to assess a variety of technical data and resolve issues arising from the review of complex and unique tendering documents.
- You have well developed oral and written communication skills to prepare reports and deal effectively with senior management, contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders.
- You are able to provide technical supervision, guidance and support to staff.
