We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Financial Accountant to lead the financial operations of a fast-growing, multi-entity organization. This is a hands-on role for a finance professional with a high level of operational awareness who can connect what is happening in the business to the numbers, take ownership of issues, and proactively identify practical solutions.

Principal Accountabilities:
- Full cycle accounting across multiple entities under IFRS accounting standards
- Full accountability for month end close process - on time and accurate
- Prepare complex account reconciliations and ensure outstanding items are investigated and resolved promptly.
- Prepare journal entries for fixed assets, inventory, prepaids, accruals and other accounts
- Maintain reconciliations for fixed assets, inventory, prepaids, AP, AR, cash, and other accounts
- Support project accounting, and funding compliance requirements
- Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and chart of accounts.
- Management financial reporting
- Design and implement financial reporting dashboards for management
- Support external audits, tax filings, and other compliance requirements.
- Lead process improvement initiatives
- Financial analysis
- Other related duties as assigned.
What we need from you:
- 7-10 years of work experience in a senior capacity
- Demonstrated experience managing multi-entity structures and intercompany accounting
- Strong IFRS knowledge
- Ability to thrive in a fast-moving environment where priorities shift, deadlines are critical, and success depends on resourcefulness, sound judgment, and the ability to independently solve problems
- ERP proficiency — you have worked in complex systems and figured them out independently
- Extensive experience and knowledge of all aspects of full cycle accounting
- Working knowledge of all relevant Federal, Provincial and local sales tax requirements
- Experience leading external audits
- Must be able to work independently to resolve issues and present solutions
- Sound judgement and superior organization and time management skills
- Consolidation, budgeting, and forecasting experience
- Excellent knowledge of Excel
- Superior critical and logical thinking skills
- Self-motivated and self-directed and efficient in proactively managing multi-priority workload
- “Roll up the sleeves” to get it done attitude
Job Types: Permanent, Full-time
Pay: $95,000.00-$105,000.00 per year
