Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Gurmukhi/Gurmat Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will cultivate a positive and nurturing learning environment, deliver engaging and meaningful instruction, and support students in their spiritual development. This role plays a key part in helping our learners stay connected to their roots while fostering mindfulness and a deep appreciation for Sikh values.
Duties
- Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with Gurmukhi and Gurmat curriculum standards.
- Deliver engaging instruction that caters to diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Assess student progress in Gurmukhi through assignments, tests, and observations, providing timely feedback.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and parents to support student development and address individual needs.
- Incorporate technology and innovative teaching methods to enhance learning experiences.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to promote discipline and respect among students.
- Participate in school meetings, professional development sessions, and extracurricular activities as required.
Experience
- Prior teaching experience or student teaching internship in an educational setting is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Gurmukhi and Gurmat is required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of learners.
- Certification or licensure in education is highly desirable but not mandatory for internship positions. This role is vital in shaping the future of students by providing quality education in a nurturing environment. Pay: $15.00-$16.00 per hour
