We are seeking a professional, organized, and compassionate individual to join our team as a Part-Time Tenant Services Coordinator. This role is responsible for managing low-income housing applications, responding to tenant enquiries, and assisting with tenancy administration in accordance with BC Housing guidelines and the Residential Tenancy Act (RTA).
The successful candidate will work closely with management and tenants while maintaining confidentiality, professionalism, and strong administrative practices.
Key Responsibilities
· Manage the full application process for housing
· Review and process applications in accordance with BC Housing and Duncan Manor policies and procedures
· Maintain applicant waitlists and tenant files
· Respond to tenant and applicant enquiries in person, by phone, and by email
· Assist with tenant communications, notices, and documentation
· Support tenancy management processes, including arrears, warnings, and eviction procedures under the RTA
· Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports
· Ensure confidentiality of tenant information
· Work collaboratively with executive director and administrative staff
Foster positive relationships with tenants to enhance customer satisfaction and retention
Assist with rental administration, including move-ins, and move-outs and inspections.
Provide professional customer service while maintaining clear boundaries and policy compliance
· Assist with general office and administrative duties as required
Qualifications & Skills
· Strong administrative and organizational skills
· Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
· Ability to manage difficult conversations professionally and calmly
· Experience working with the public in a housing, social services, property management, or administrative setting is an asset
· Knowledge of the Residential Tenancy Act is an asset
· Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Drive and general computer systems
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
