Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Flagger to ensure the safety and smooth flow of traffic at construction sites. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in directing vehicles and pedestrians, maintaining safety protocols, and supporting construction operations for heavy equipment movement.
Duties
- Direct vehicular and pedestrian traffic around construction zones using hand signals, signs, and flagging devices,
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and construction site protocols at all times,
- Coordinate with heavy equipment operators to facilitate safe movement of machinery and materials,
- Assist in setting up traffic control devices and signage before work begins,
- Monitor work zones for hazards or unsafe practices, reporting issues promptly,
- Support operations by managing traffic flow around crews and machinery,
- Maintain clear communication with team members to ensure efficient workflow and safety standards are upheld.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in traffic control, flagging, or construction is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Knowledge of heavy equipment operation or processes is a plus.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to safety procedures and detail-oriented mindset.
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Valid certification or willingness to obtain flagger certification is advantageous.
- Must be reliable, responsible, and committed to maintaining a safe work environment.
