Schedule: Shift-Based (24-hour Operation)
We are currently hiring a Direct Care Worker for our non-profit client in Lloydminster. This role is responsible for supporting daily shelter operations and helping maintain a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for clients.
The shelter operates 24 hours per day. All shifts are 8 hours:
- Additional $2.00/hour overnight premium
- Perform general housekeeping and laundry duties
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals
- Provide direct client support in a professional, compassionate manner
- Maintain safety, structure, and order within the facility
- Work collaboratively with coworkers (staff work in pairs at all times)
- Manage time effectively and follow established policies and procedures
- Availability for day, evening, and overnight shifts (required)
- Must be able to work weekdays and weekends (required)
- Strong client service and interpersonal skills
- Effective organization and time-management abilities
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable working within a shelter environment
- Reliable, professional, and respectful in all interactions
- Clean criminal record check
