Position Overview
As a Tier 2 Security Guard, you will play a critical role in maintaining a safe and secure healthcare environment. This position requires professionalism, situational awareness, and the ability to respond effectively to dynamic situations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct proactive patrols to ensure the safety of patients, staff, physicians, and visitors
- Respond promptly to emergency calls and incidents
- Support healthcare staff in maintaining a secure environment
- Collaborate with Police, EMS, Fire Services, and other stakeholders
- Enforce site policies and applicable legislation, including the Trespass to Property Act and the Criminal Code of Canada
- Exercise lawful authority, including arrest powers where applicable
Qualifications
- Valid Ontario Security Guard License
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to remain composed and make sound decisions under pressure
- Demonstrated commitment to professionalism and public safety
- Previous healthcare or high-risk environment experience is considered an asset
