Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Janitorial Cleaner to maintain cleanliness and hygiene across numerous condominium buildings. The ideal candidate will ensure that all areas are kept tidy, sanitized, and well-maintained, contributing to a safe and welcoming environment for residents and visitors alike. This role is vital in supporting the overall facility operations and ensuring compliance with health standards.
Duties
- Perform routine cleaning common areas such as hallways, stairs, lobbies using appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust surfaces to maintain a spotless environment
- Disinfect high-touch surfaces to prevent the spread of germs and bacteria
- Empty trash receptacles and ensure proper disposal of waste materials
- Conduct minor maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs or reporting larger repairs needed
- Follow safety protocols during cleaning procedures to ensure personal safety and prevent accidents
- Maintain a schedule of regular cleaning tasks and document completed work as required
- Pick up garbage from perimeter of buildings
Qualifications
- Prior experience in cleaning is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness and hygiene standards
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as back pack vacuums
- Good physical stamina to stand, bend, lift, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift
- Reliable with a strong work ethic and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Must have reliable vehicle and be willing to transport backpack vacuum cleaner
- Typically will clean the common area of 3 small condominium buildings per day
Pay: From $17.50 per hour
