About the position
This is a locally engaged staff position at an overseas Australian Diplomatic Mission.
Under general direction, Visa Processing Officers are responsible for delivering client service and assessing and /or deciding on the outcome of visa applications. Visa Processing Officers undertake these duties while also completing appropriate verification activities to ensure the integrity of the migration program.
Performance Management
Locally engaged staff engaged in an ongoing or fixed term capacity are eligible to participate in the performance management system. Staff who are employed on 31 March, are performing at the required levels, and have worked in the role for at least 100 working days are eligible to receive a salary advancement of one increment OR a bonus of two percent if at the top of their level.
