Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our dynamic culinary team at a brand new luxury banquet hall. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen by preparing ingredients, cooking dishes, and maintaining high standards of food quality and safety. Duties
- Prepare and assemble ingredients for menu items according to recipes and standards
- Cook dishes with precision, ensuring proper presentation and taste
- Assist in food preparation tasks such as chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and workstations
- Follow food safety protocols and proper handling procedures to ensure hygiene standards are met
- Support the team during busy service periods by efficiently managing multiple tasks
- Stock supplies and notify management of inventory needs or shortages
- Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with health regulations and restaurant policies
Qualifications
- Prior experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environments preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and meal assembly
- Familiarity with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration
- Basic understanding of serving etiquette and customer service principles is a plus
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends or evenings as needed
