IS2 Workforce Solutions is currently recruiting for an Assembler on behalf of our client in Brantford, ON. This is a hands-on role suited for candidates who enjoy working with tools, measurements, and quality testing in a production environment.
- Pay: $22/hour to start, with room to grow based on longevity and increased responsibilities
- Type: Temporary to Permanent (Evaluation Hire)
- Shift: Straight Day Shift – 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
- Overtime: Lots of opportunities to pick up overtime
- Benefits: Available after probation period
- Transportation: Must have reliable transportation (location is not on a bus route)
Key Responsibilities
- Use specialized quality testing equipment to ensure product integrity
- Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings
- Apply math and measurement skills accurately
- Maintain high attention to detail to ensure quality standards are met
- Cross-train in other production departments as needed to support operations
Qualifications
- Assembly experience required (2+ years)
- Experience using hand and power tools
- Forklift experience considered an asset
- Experience working with overhead or jib cranes considered an asset
- Strong math, measurement, and blueprint reading skills
- Candidates with experience in metal fabrication shops will be given preference
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to lift, move materials, and perform physical work throughout the shift
