Job Summary
General warehouse duties, primary responsibilities are unloading inbound common carrier loads and that request a lumper (Container Unloader) or as directed by Warehouse Management.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Unload inbound common carrier loads.
- Palletize and wrap goods which have been unloaded from the shipping containers.
- Assist Warehouse Department as needed and directed by Warehouse Management.
Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent. Warehouse experience in food distribution a plus.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Work is primarily heavy in nature with frequent walking. Must be able to communicate clearly. Periods of prolonged standing. Frequent lifting up to 50+ lbs.
MENTAL/VISUAL DEMANDS
Must be able to read at a distance close to the eyes, as well as distances, with or without correction.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Activities occur inside the warehouse (protected from weather conditions, but not temperature changes). Subject to cold while working in the freezer. Hazardous conditions may exist, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts.
EQUIPMENT OPERATED
Pallet jack, forklift (if forklift ticket is held or obtained).
DESIRED LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES
Forklift (Not required)
Job Types: Part-time, Commission, Casual
Salary: $20.00 to $50.00 /hour
