Part 2. Job Information
Position Title: Customer Service Specialist
Job Category: Customer Service
Skill Level: Intermediate Level.
Qualification: Seeking candidates with strong interpersonal skills who work effectively in a small team. Positive. Passionate. Fast learner. Flexible. Hard worker. Reliable. FoodSafe Level 1 certificate necessary in first month of employment.
Location of Work: 10108 Main St, Summerland, BC
Type of Employment: Part Time/Seasonal (summer) - able to work Sat & Sun throughout the summer.
Job Summary: Consistently deliver exceptional customer service while retailing various baked and milled goods and serving the customer. Follow quality assurance, food safe, work safe procedures and inventory rotation practices.
Reports To: Bakery Manager
Hours of work: Day shifts, must be able to work Saturdays and Sundays
Compensation: $ 19.00 per hour
Holidays: 4% vacation pay accrual
Part 3. Duties and Competencies
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Deliver outstanding customer service in an efficient manner and to ensure an unparalleled bread experience for customers
2. Assist team in day-to-day executions (i.e., opening, closing, stock rotation, cleaning)
3. Provide expert advice on all products we offer, emphasizing the unique qualities of our delicious products and benefits of organic food and “from scratch” preparation
4. Promote and showcase True Grain product; help to drive sales
5. Prepare the sales shelves and consistently maintain optimal product assortment
6. Effectively operate payment processing equipment
7. Efficiently package bakery products as required, answer phone calls and take details of call- ahead orders, take customer complaints
8. Track inventory, contribute to waste reduction and continuous improvement
9. Adhere to the Food Safety procedures and maintain a safe and clean work environment.
