Our client is seeking an Manager, of FP&A and Tax. Responsibilities:
- Roughly half of the time will be spent as a tax professional, dealing with CRA and working with tax partners (head office and Public Accounting firm) as a liaison.
- The other half of the role involves traditional FP&A work, specifically sales finance focused, with a customer portfolio headlined by Loblaws.
- Partner with assigned customer and business teams to drive profitable growth, improve financial performance, and support fact-based decision-making.
- Own forecasting, reporting, and financial analysis for assigned areas of responsibility.
- Complete month-end activities for applicable P&L line items, maintaining strong financial controls.
- Support the annual planning and budgeting process.
- Lead and coordinate key Canadian tax accounting and compliance activities for assigned legal entities.
- Partner with Corporate Tax and other stakeholders to support transfer pricing requirements.
- Lead preparation of the tax provision model and supporting documentation.
- Coordinate tax audits and annual return support.
- Provide support for indirect tax and withholding tax activities.
- Lead or contribute to special projects and ad hoc analysis.
Qualifications:
- CPA certification is a requirement.
- 3 plus years of Corporate tax experience either from Public Accounting or from industry.
- Ability to interact effectively with the sales team.
- Strong strategic thinking, analytical capability, and fact-based problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and deliver high-quality results in a deadline-driven environment.
- Strong interpersonal, business partnering, and facilitation skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
