True North Labour is seeking reliable and motivated local construction workers to join our team on upcoming projects in Fort St.John, BC. We are looking for candidates across a range of skill levels, from Semi-Skilled Labourers and Carpenter Helpers to experienced Carpenters and Drywallers.
We work with established contractors and construction companies to provide consistent, high-quality work and opportunities for both short-term and long-term placements.

What You’ll Do
Depending on your experience and position, your responsibilities may include:
- General Construction Support: Assist with daily construction activities and support skilled trades on site.
- Carpentry: Perform framing, blocking, backing, formwork, finishing, and other carpentry tasks as required.
- Drywall: Install, cut, fasten, and finish drywall according to project requirements.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, move, and organize construction materials and tools.
- Site Clean-Up: Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe throughout the project.
- Trade Support: Work alongside carpenters, drywallers, and other trades to keep the project moving efficiently.
- Safety: Follow all site safety procedures, company policies, and directions from supervisors.
- Reporting: Complete and submit accurate daily timesheets to ensure timely weekly payments.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous construction experience is preferred; experience requirements will depend on the position.
- Semi-skilled workers should have a basic understanding of construction tools, materials, and job-site practices.
- Carpenters should have solid hands-on experience with residential, commercial, or industrial construction.
- Drywallers should have previous experience with drywall installation and related finishing work.
- Able to work independently as well as as part of a crew.
- Strong work ethic and reliable attendance.
- Physically capable of performing construction work, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced construction environment.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety.
- Must be local to the project area and able to reliably commute to the job site.
Requirements
- WHMIS 2015: Valid certification preferred/required depending on project requirements.
- PPE: Must have your own required personal protective equipment.
- Tools: Personal hand tools required for skilled positions.
- Documentation: Ability to accurately complete and submit daily timesheets.
- Additional tickets or certifications may be required depending on the position and project.
