Overview
We are seeking a friendly and motivated Part-Time Retail BBQ Store Associate to join our team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience in the retail environment. Duties
- Assist customers with selecting products and answer questions about our BBQ products
- Operate POS systems, including square POS, for processing transactions accurately
- Handle cash and perform cashiering duties with attention to detail and integrity
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the store, including food handling areas
- Restock shelves and ensure product displays are appealing and organized
- Follow food safety protocols and sanitation procedures at all times
- Manage time effectively to ensure smooth store operations during busy hours
- Support team members as needed in various store functions
Skills
- Experience in retail
- Familiarity with POS systems, especially square POS, is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and making change accurately
- Knowledge of smoking and bbq products
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently
- Ability to work well in a team environment and adapt quickly to changing needs
- Previous experience in retail
- Upselling techniques to promote products effectively
