The Habitat for Humanity ReStore in Newmarket is looking for a Driver/Donation Ambassador

Contract Position: 30 – 37.5 hrs/week

Key Responsibilities: (but not limited to)
· Provides world-class customer service in a team environment
· Assisting donors with loading donations, while maintaining accurate records
· Develops relationships with volunteers and donors providing knowledgeable, courteous, and responsive customer service to build loyalty and promote repeat business.
· Works with teammates to keep donations moving efficiently on to the sales floor.
· Ensure adherence to established safety and security practices and procedures as outlined in the Restore Safety Handbook
· Evaluating the suitability of donations in accordance with current acceptable donations list
· Must be able to work flexible shifts according to store demand; including Saturdays and occasional Sundays
· Follow dress code wearing appropriate materials as a ReStore representative
· Responsible for pick up & delivery of donations for the ReStore, building site and corporate donors.
· Alert ReStore Management to the condition of ReStore vehicles and repairs or maintenance
· Alert ReStore management to any safety hazards and/or challenges
· Ensuring that vehicles have the proper tools to and safety equipment for volunteers and staff
· Ensure that all product is packed appropriately using supplies blankets and safety ties/harnesses
· Ensure that teammates use appropriate supplied equipment to move product.
· Ensure that all circle checks are completed daily
· Ensure you confirm schedule with Logistics Team for daily schedule
· Use technology to ensure consistent communication with ReStore management and Logistics team
· Ensure vehicles are locked at end of business day
Requirements
· Valid Class G drivers’ license with a clean driving abstract, provide 3 years driving experience.
· Adaptable, energetic team player with a passion for contributing to our mission.
· Adaptable to working with teammates, volunteers, customers and donors of all ages and abilities
· Able to meet the physical demands including: frequent pushing, pulling and reaching; frequent kneeling & bending; frequent lifting or carrying up to 50 lbs.; standing for extended periods of time
· Must have CSA approved, green patch steel toe boots/shoes
· Must be cleared by a Criminal Reference Check
Pay: From $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 22.5 – 37.5 per week
