Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards are maintained, and create a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tables efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Take customer orders accurately using POS systems such as Micros POS, ensuring prompt and courteous service
- Serve food and beverages in accordance with safety and sanitation standards
- Handle cash transactions with accuracy, including cashiering and cash handling responsibilities
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of dining areas, utensils, and service stations in compliance with food safety regulations
- Assist in food preparation or kitchen tasks as needed during busy periods
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently while providing excellent guest services
- Address guest inquiries and resolve issues promptly to ensure satisfaction
- Follow all food handling procedures and restaurant policies to uphold high standards of hospitality
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Knowledge of POS systems, especially Micros POS, is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction
- Ability to handle food safely, including proper food handling and sanitation practices
- Basic math skills for billing, cash handling, and order management
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours
- Familiarity with food industry standards, serving protocols, and hospitality principles
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining professionalism
- Kitchen experience or food preparation knowledge is advantageous but not mandatory
